Breaking Sunny

We were riding colts the other night and decided to do a little hog hunting while we were out there.  We finally have some good dogs again and they did a great job.  We caught two hogs and they were pretty good size.  Gavin had so much fun.
I must be loosing my mind because I am breaking another colt.  I saw this little guy the other weekend and practically stole him from the guy.  He is such a cute little horse, and I mean little.  He is learning so fast and he is proving to have a great mind.  These were pictures of our first ride which was only about ten minutes after starting to work with him.  He's so easy going and easy to ride.

Boating, baseball, and birthdays

It was 51 degrees at 7:00 when we got out on the lake yesterday morning.  The Heaton's oldest son, Josh, is in town and Quinn really wanted some coaching in wakeboarding.  We decided to squeeze a small boating trip in between 7 am and Gavin's 11:00 baseball game......brrrrrr!

We also celebrated Gavin's 9th birthday party this week.  I have a hard time admitting to myself how old he is getting.

Cade, all bundled up on the boat.

I know I am a little bias, but isn't Gavin so stinking cute?

Gavin was able to pitch the 2nd inning of the game.  He did a really good job.

We are up to our necks in hogs this year.  Gavin gets to go hog hunting almost every night, and he shoots one almost every night.  What more could a boy ask for?
