Roping
We finanlly got more roping cattle! The last time we had roping steers was back in March, so we have really missed roping at the house.
The weather was perfect and the arena was still damp, just right for roping.
Breaking in new steers was lots of fun!
It was really cool to see Gavin and Grey tracking steers and trying to rope, they did a great job!
Chute help :) I think everyone was a little nervous when Cade had the hot shot. I know I didn't ever turn my back on him.

The boys
These are two new additions to the ranch. They are both yearlings that will be ready to start this coming spring along with Cocoa, Baw-poo's yearling filly. Looks like we are going to be very busy this next year. We are really excited!
This is Baw-poo's buckskin 'Biscuit'. He is toying with the idea of leaving him a stud. I have to agree that he would make pretty babies. This is a recent purchase Quinn and I made. He is a blue roan yearling gelding. We are still trying to think of a good name for him.

Family, food, and dancing!

We were able to attend a wedding reception of an old friend last week, and we had a blast. The food was great, we got to see lots of old friends, and the music and dancing was tons of fun.

Family get-together
We had a small gathering at Granny's because my cousin Tanya was in town from Utah. It was really good to see her and her little family. We had lots fun laughing about old times.
Lauren and EmilyThe three of us had lots of adventures growing up together, and many many good times.
We walked down to the creek to see one of our favorite old swimming holes.

4th of July
We had such a fun 4th of July! We went to the parade in Johnson City, and then to the firework show. It was a nice evening and we are so grateful for the opportunity we have to live in this wonderful country. We are proud to be Americans and deeply indebted to all those who sacrificed to make that possible.
