Pike/Davis Winter '10 Roundup

Working cattle at the Pike/Davis ranch is always a full day of hard work, but we have so much fun at the same time.......there is never a dull moment. We got all bundled up this morning because it was sooo cold, but it turned out to be a beautiful day! Gavin has been helping us work cattle since he could ride, and I am so glad he came along today, not only did he help out a lot, but I was able to get some cute pictures.

Spraying cattle for ticks

Gavin was helping uncle Willie push calves up, and I was able to grab the camera and so glad I did, cause this is my favorite of the day!
This was the first picture I took this morning, there was frost all over the ground. No special effects needed, my camera lens was fogged up, I think it turned out to be a pretty cool pic.
Quinn got burned a few too many times today when the iron slipped, whether intentional or not, my dad seemed to think it was pretty funny.
Will, watching out for flying testicles. Dad thinks it is hilarious after castrating, to through testicles at people. Will just happened to be the lucky guy today. Just one of the many prices we pay for Dad being in a good mood.

Team work

Gavin tried out many jobs today, but his favorite was pushing calves up.
